- Master the development of outdoor advertising - Establish regulations by zone setting out obligations regarding advertising, signs and pre-signs - Specify national regulations to respond to the landscape, tourism, heritage and economic challenges of each territory - Find a balance between the preservation of the living environment (protection of green spaces, enhancement of architectural and landscape heritage) and the readability of commercial information and communication from economic players The policy is addressing the following types of advertisments: - Advertising: “Any inscription, form or image intended to inform the public or attract their attention.” - Signs: “Any inscription, shape or image indicating the proximity of a building where the specific activity is carried out.” - Pre-signs: “Any inscription, form or image affixed to a building and relating to the activity carried out there.” It can also be affixed to the land where it is carried out.
Citizen participation was an important element in the development of the RLPI. The Grenoble-Alpes Métropole metropolitan council specified the consultation methods in its deliberation to launch the project in July 2018. Residents were invited to give their opinion in several forms: As part of the prior consultation (September 28, 2018 to April 30, 2019) As part of the public inquiry, (October 21 to November 22, 2019) The opinion of the public inquiry commission and all documents relating to the consultation on the RLPI are available on the Métropole's participatory platform.

Close to 500 billboards and inserts removed, and 2000 square meters advertising spaces cleared.
